From Across the
Northern Part of North Carolina
(through
Winston/Salem, Greensboro and Raleigh)
Enter and cross North Carolina on 40 East.
40 East will take you straight into Wilmington — you will know you are nearing the city when you start approaching a series of stop lights.
Within a mile or two of the start of these lights, take 17 West. 17 West is Market Street.
Following Market Street to its end will bring you to the center of Wilmington.
From Across the
Southern Part of the State
(through Charlotte)
Enter North Carolina on 40 East.
At the eastern edge of Ashville, pick up 26 South.
Approximately 15 miles after passing Hendersonville, pick up 74 East.
74 East will take you through Charlotte and straight into Wilmington.
You will actually be in the city when you cross the Cape Fear River at a large steel drawbridge.
Make a left at the light you will come to immediately after crossing the bridge. This is 3rd Street
Make a left at the second stop light onto Market Street.
Market Street will bring you to the center of Wilmington.
